Like to play with words? So do we! Come hang out with our poet-in-residence and have a go at some writing games, techniques and activities – or just curl up with a cup of tea and a book! We will have plenty of resources, materials, and poetry for you to get stuck into so just drop in – no need to register. The sessions run weekly on Wednesdays from 5 December between 10am and noon – and will carry on into the new year, too. Spread the word!

Discussion group to explore starting a tenants union in Oxford. Whether it’s unaffordability, a complicated relationship with your landlord/agent, not getting the service you require, conflict over end of end a tenancy, the dispute of a deposit, or the state of your property. We are trying to build a support network for renters: – providing a space for tenants to share their problems in a safe space that offers solidarity and anonymity. – a central point of information for renters rights. – fighting housing discrimination, providing support to and stand in solidarity with those faced with housing discrimination. – developing

Do you have an idea for building relationships and connecting people with place that could do with a £1000 cash injection? As part of this year’s Marmalade, Transition by Design and Lankelly Chase are running a live experiment in participatory grant making. Both Transition by Design and Lankelly Chase believe that more often then not, it’s communities who know best what they need. We’re experimenting with how to hand over control of funding to the people who know best the impact it could make. To do this, we’re searching for ideas to be part of the workshop.
